How to model a Diode using a Datasheet
This videos show how to extract the SPICE parameters using a datasheet's Id versus Vd curve to extract Rs (series resistance), N (Ideal coefficient) and IS (reverse saturation current). You can use MathCAD' Minerrr function and I show how to setup the script to get all three SPICE parameters. I then show how to verify the model using SPICE and compare the SPICE results to the datasheet's plot.
