It’s no secret that smartphone cameras have rapidly seen advancements in their camera technology. You can take some pretty amazing photos on some of the newest smartphones. With this comes a lot people who think that the camera on their phone is just as good as a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
Even if your cell phone camera might have more megapixels, it won’t have nearly the dynamic range and access to lenses that your camera has. And the sensor will NEVER be large enough to compete with a full-frame camera (at least at the current size of smartphones).
While a smartphone is a great tool to snag some photos when you don’t have your camera with you, you should still use your camera if you’re serious about your photography.
