Learn about the Linux environment including how to set Linux environment variables and shell variables with the printenv, set command, export and echo commands.

Starting with printenv we look at variables individually and the whole group, followed by a quick reminder on how to find help on shell builtins like set and export. Echo is used to print text and variables with the dollar sign. We see how colors are set in ls and will do something similar in our next video on nano. We also practice with commands: whatis, ls, clear, less and man.
Also included is our stack which includes: Debian Linux, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Python for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) and presentation tools for the user experience such as Matplotlib, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
