In the north of Chad, in the heart of the Sahara desert, lies a forgotten mountain massif, which shelters, in its secret canyons, a flora and fauna of breathtaking beauty.
Fed by underground streams, the Ennedi massif is a garden of Eden in the middle of the desert. It is also the last refuge for a dozen or so crocodiles. Their ancestors were trapped when the water disappeared, more than 4,000 years ago, and only survived thanks to the numerous basins called ‘gueltas’.
