CHANGING MARGINS IN GOOGLE DOCS
Basically there are 2 ways to adjust the margins in google docs - via the page setup, and via the ruler on top and on the left of the document.

1. VIA PAGE SETUP
With the faster first option via page setup go to "File" and press "Page Setup" on the bottom of the menu. The column on the right is exactly what you need, allowing you to adjust the margins of all sides of the page. By default, all the margins are set to 1 inch size, but you can modify these values the way you like, I will do zero point five to demonstrate it. And then you can even set them as default settings for all your further documents, which is nice. So then you click OK and you'll see that the left margin decreased two times, but the right one remained the same.

2. VIA THE RULER
Option number 2 is performed with the help of a ruler on top, and on the left of the document. If you don’t have any, go to "View" and press "Show Ruler".

To customize left and right margins, drag your mouse to the grey area on the ruler from either left or right side, until you see that a cursor turns into a double sided arrow. When it does, press-hold and move it left or right till you find a suitable position. To change top and bottom page margins use the ruler on the left edge of the document. Move your mouse to the grey area on the ruler from either top or bottom side, till you see that a pointer turns into an arrow. When it did, press-hold and move it up or down to find a suitable position.

INDENT ADJUSTING
Be aware that this adjustment is applied to every page of the document, and there is no margins adjustment for individual pages. But, you can adjust the indent of individual paragraphs or lines to visually separate it from other text on the page. It is performed by highlighting a paragraph or line, and then moving this arrow slider to either left or right, and the same concerning the opposite side.
