By now, it's pretty clear that Genshin's anniversary will fall during version 5.0. We also know that when Mihoyo launches a new region, the first few patches usually come with a lot of primogems. In this video, we’ll dive into all the rewards we can expect in version 5.0.
Starting with the anniversary rewards—unfortunately, they haven't changed. I know the community is going to be upset, and honestly, it seems like Mihoyo still hasn't learned from past mistakes. But if you're new, here's what you can expect: First, there's the 7-day login rewards where you'll get a total of 10 Intertwined Fates just by logging in. Mihoyo will also send 1,600 primogems through the in-game mailbox, so keep an eye out for that. It's likely that these 4th anniversary rewards will drop during the second phase of version 5.0, so don't expect them in the first phase. We'll also be getting a free pet and a free gadget through the mail. At this point, I'm just used to it.
Apart from the above-mentioned rewards, Mero has also leaked a free 4-star Catalyst for the upcoming update named Ash-Graven Drinking Horn. It's possible that Ash-Graven Drinking Horn may be the free event weapon for Genshin Impact version 5.0. so if you’re wishing for mualani, do not forget to get this weapon too.
We'll also be getting a free character in version 5.0. If we look back at previous releases, in version 3.0 with Sumeru, we got a free 4-star character, Collei. In version 4.0, with Fontaine, we received Lynette. If MiHoYo continues this pattern, we can expect a free 4-star Natlan character in version 5.0. Just like before, they'll likely require us to complete a specific floor in the Spiral Abyss to claim that free character, as we've seen in previous versions.
Now, let's talk about the total primogems you can expect in version 5.0. With the introduction of a new, expansive region, exploration will be a breeze. You'll find plenty of chests, challenges, and teleport waypoints scattered throughout the area, making it easy to rack up primogems. If you complete the Archon quests, explore around 20 to 30% of the map, participate in events, do your dailies, and claim the anniversary rewards, you can expect to earn around 50 to 60 intertwined fates in this version alone. If you manage to explore the entire region, you could potentially earn up to 110 intertwined fates. Hopefully, that's enough to get the character you're aiming for.
