Chronicled Wish is a special type of banner that was first introduced during the initial half of version 4.5. This banner was unique as it featured not only six five-star characters but also a selection of five-star weapons, including some limited items such as Beacon of the Reed Sea, Song of Broken Pines, Eula, Klee, and Albedo. As of now, there is no official information regarding when the next Chronicled Wish banner might make its appearance. However, there is speculation that this banner could potentially be featured in the upcoming version 5.2 update. And the reason for saying this is that version 5.2 is going to be a filler patch, similar to 4.5. This timing could be perfect for Hoyoverse to reintroduce some old characters that have not been available for a while, without putting them in the limited event wishes, and create some space for fontaine characters reruns and Natlan characters.

Returning to our topic, during the special livestream for version 5.0, mihoyo revealed that there will be an Archon Quest in versions 5.0, 5.1, and 5.3. However, they didn’t mention anything about version 5.2. This suggests that version 5.2 might be a filler patch. A "filler patch" is an update that doesn't add big content like new regions, major storyline progress, or highly anticipated characters. Instead, it focuses on smaller updates to keep players engaged while the developers work on more significant future content.
We already know that version 5.2 won't include an Archon Quest, a new region, or a new Archon. This creates a perfect opportunity for miHoYo to rerun some older characters without them being part of a limited-time event. As a result, there's a good chance that the Chronicled Wish banner could make a return in this version.
Now that we know when the Chronicled Wish banner will be featured, the question is: which region will it focus on this time? In version 4.5, we had the Mondstadt Chronicled Wish banner. According to the rules of the Chronicled Wish, only limited characters who have had at least three banners and haven't appeared on any recent Event Wish are eligible to be featured.
let's speculate on which region the banner might feature in this version. From version 4.5 to 5.0, we've seen banners featuring 2 Liyue characters, 3 Inazuma characters, and 4 Sumeru characters. Considering this, the regional banner with the highest likelihood of appearing is Liyue. There's also a possibility that we could see an Inazuma banner, especially since characters like Kokomi, Ayaka, and Ayato are still missing. However, Liyue has several notable characters who haven't appeared in a while, such as Hu Tao, Ganyu, Childe, and Shenhe. Although Shenhe is less likely to be featured since she's only had two event banners so far, the next Chronicled Wish banner will most likely focus on Liyue characters.
