It looks like the release of Wuthering Waves has really impacted Genshin Impact. Wuthering Waves launched globally yesterday, and I have to say, the game really impressed me. I didn't expect it to be this good. Wuthering Waves has a lot of potential, and I hope the developers keep things on track. Anyway, back to the main point: the release of Wuthering Waves has changed Genshin Impact forever. They are now adding features we never thought we’d see in Genshin. This is just the beginning, and we can expect many new features soon.
In a recent Developers Discussion blog post, the Genshin Impact team outlined several quality-of-life (QoL) changes coming to the game. The most significant update is an increase in the Original Resin cap, along with higher limits for other resources. Currently, Original Resin, the in-game energy resource used to obtain rewards from Ley Line Blossoms, Domains, and Bosses, is capped at 160. Starting from Version 4.7, this cap will be increased to 200.
While an additional 40 Resin may not seem like a huge increase, it's actually quite impactful. The new cap exceeds the amount of Resin that regenerates in 24 hours (180 Resin), meaning players won't have to worry about "wasting" Resin if they can't log in twice a day. Now, logging in once a day to use all your Resin will be sufficient, which is a relief for players who strive for efficiency. Although there isn't a reserve system like in Honkai: Star Rail yet, this is a positive step forward for Genshin Impact.
Additionally, Version 4.7 will allow players to add up to 100 friends, enabling them to explore Teyvat or share their Serenitea Pots with more companions.
Inventory limits for items such as Forging Ores, Character EXP Materials, and Artifact Enhancement Materials will also see an increase from 9,999 to 99,999. Similarly, the limit for food ingredients will rise from 2,000 to 9,999, reducing the need to worry about collecting thousands of materials over time.
Finally, update 4.7 will introduce a feature to help players find the best possible artifact pieces for their characters. With the new "Fast Equip" feature and its "Custom Configuration" option, players can use the "Recommended Stats" filter. This will automatically select the recommended sets and attributes for the chosen character based on data from all active players, aiding users in building optimal setups.
