NEXT CHRONICLED WISH! LIYUE CHRONICLED WISH BANNER IN 5.3 | Ganyu, Childe And Xiao - Genshin Impact
Chornicled wish, I know most of you probably heard about the info that was shared by trusted leakers about the next chronicled banner. The info is pretty old at this point, but i want to talk about the characters who might be included in this chronicled banner, talk about the version we will see this chronicled banner and also see whether this leak is true or not. A new leaker named flyingflames, gave us a new info about version 5.3. Basically, flyingflames said in version 5.3, we will see the return of the chronicled banner and this time it will feature liyue characters. Before we confirm whether this leaker is trustable or not, i will first explain what chronicled banner is. Chronicled Wish is a special type of banner that was first introduced during the first half of version 4.5. This banner was unique as it featured not only six five-star characters but also a selection of five-star weapons, including some limited items such as Beacon of the Reed Sea, Song of Broken Pines, Eula, Klee, and Albedo. For a character to be in this banner, they must have been featured at least 3 or more times in their exclusive event-wish banners, and have not been featured recently in Character Event Wish.
Alright, now that we understand what a chronicled banner is, let's see if this leaker, named FlyingFlames, is trustworthy. FlyingFlames has provided us with a lot of information before—some of it turned out to be true, while other pieces are still unconfirmed. For example, they leaked information about Zhongli and Keqing trials, the pet saurian in Natlan, 5.1 banners, and more. So, I’d say FlyingFlames is pretty reliable. But just to be safe, the information they provided was later posted by other trusted leakers, including Team Mew.
The characters that we could see in the banner include Yelan, Baizhu, Xiao, Ganyu, Qiqi, Keqing, and maybe... Childe? Hu Tao won’t be included because she will receive a banner in the second half of version 5.1, and Zhongli is an Archon. Since the previous Chronicled Wish did not include an Archon, this one likely won’t either.
Now I know what some of you are thinking—Childe is from Snezhnaya. So does he really count as a Liyue character? Even though Childe is originally from Snezhnaya, he was introduced in Liyue during the Archon questline, and most of his story in the early game took place there. So, does that make him a candidate for this Liyue Chronicle banner? Honestly, I’m not so sure.
While some might argue that Childe could be included because of his Liyue connections, I’m honestly starting to doubt it. If this banner is specifically focused on Liyue characters, it won’t make sense to feature someone who is technically from Snezhnaya right? Then again, he did play a major role in the Liyue storyline, and that might be enough to warrant his inclusion. But if we follow the usual logic, Childe might not make it onto this banner, which is disappointing for some of you Childe mains out there.
