From sitting 86 T88 in games after TJ to 91 T93 in bullpens, an athlete update from Performance Coach @strothrow ⁠

Tread Athlete @ckutz34 started with me In-House in August, coming off his TJ Rehab. Our goals for his In-House time were to gain weight, get stronger, and work through some mechanical deficiencies to help him grab his first 90. ⁠

Charlie was dialed with his nutrition and crushed the weight room programming I provided leading to some quick weight jumps within the first couple months. ⁠

While putting on mass, we ramped up the arm with a focus on better posture through the first move and lead leg lift. This helped him control the pelvis down the slope and keep his trunk stacked, resulting in better timing of thoracic extension. ⁠

We used the glove side as a tool to manipulate the upper half's posture while also relying on exaggerated drills like the hurdle clears and Darvish to help pattern the back leg out of peak leg lift.⁠

He popped his first 90 in one of his early bullpens and left the facility with a PR of 92.9 MPH after 4 months. ⁠
