Long Beach Animal Care Services - The Moon Pie was a hugely popular treat back in the day & we feel our Moonpie (#A705287) is just as wonderful. It's not coincidental that she too has dark sides & a white center, though she isn't filled with marshmallow! She's a 3 year old, 60 pound, spayed female seeking her forever human cuddle-companion.
Moonpie came to the shelter as a thin stray back in August & seemed overwhelmed with the noise & stress of shelter life. She was fortunate to find a short-term foster to give her some time away and the love & care she needed in a quiet home. Moonpie's back at the shelter now & we'd really like to get this sweet, calm gal into the forever home she deserves. Her foster shared she's a complete love bug that wants more than anything to curl up next her people. She loves to take naps in the sun, enjoys playtime with stuffies & is very treat motivated - taking them very gently. She's housebroken, knows her sit command & will frequently raise a paw on her own hoping to shake your hand. She loves to go on walks & though she pulls for just a moment with excitement she settles in a walks nicely. We feel she would do best as an only pet as she prefers the company of humans over animals. This sweet, loving girl is adored by everyone she meets!
