Forest Floor. Patches of uncovered forest floor peak through the dense layer of snow! Sophie and our baby boy Kato enjoy some playtime in the dry leaves from the last fall...The snow is melting everywhere now. Finally!! It seems impossible to describe the overwhelming feelings when the frozen Yukon awakes to new life.

We enjoy a hot coffee in the sun. The sun is strong in the sky and the temperatures are sometimes so warm that it is possible to get a bikini tan while there is still snow around!!! We also try to get rid of piles and piles of snow covering our yard.

Stocked and excited about the end of winter we dive head on into one of the greatest adventures of a northern winter! Ice Bath !!! It is our very first time and it is definitely intimidating...
