THEY ARE LEAVING ME!
And just like that Sophie and Kato are leaving me...
But the swans are back!!! Summer hasn't even started yet but you can feel it in the air up north. It is also a good time right now to cut some more firewood for the next winter. But it is also time for our very first "in field picnic" of the season! .

Elegant white trumpeter and tundra swarms flock on all the open water in the Yukon Territory. A sure sign that summer is not far. It is also a reminder thought that winter will always come back and together with our little baby boy Sophie uses the time to cut some new firewood that now will have enough time to dry.
And before Sophie and Kato disappear for a while from the North we all head out for a family picnic. And on that particularly windy day we also discover our very first crocus of the year! A sure sing that spring is really here now!
And just like that it is the next morning and Sophie and Kato will fly to Germany. But first she needs to refresh under our outdoor shower. But finally the moment is here and Peter will stay back home... him and the dogs alone at our cabin....
