Denali in Autumn: Exploring Fairbanks and Alaska on a Road Trip

We visit Denali National Park in the fall, go hiking, and spot wildlife in the breathtaking Alaskan wilderness. Afterwards we keep driving towards Fairbanks and the interior of Alaska. We also run out of fuel and almost end up stranded on a lonely road in the dense clouds on a mountainous road. We take some time to explore Fairbanks and we enjoy warmth from our little fireplace inside the camper.

With our motorhome we drive into the Denali National Park. We get out for a hike in Grizzly bear country and explore this great Alaskan National Park on foot...

In the National Park the nights are cold and we have to get up during the night to keep the fire going. Once we leave the park we almost get stranded somewhere in the mountains on a very small road. Our tank is below empty and it is all uphill...

Back in civilization we take the time to explore the city of Fairbanks. A very small city with not much to see. But it is a great gateway into the wild. After a quick coffee we hit the road again and drive off into the sunset for some more exploring in Alaska
