FiLMiC Pro LOGv3 is a brand new addition to the FiLMiC Pro Cinematographer Kit within the FiLMiC Pro app. LOGv3 is different to Apple’s Dolby Vision HDR video recording in that it employs a true log encoding curve to the image data directly from the iPhone camera image buffer. This also differentiates 10-bit LOGv3 from the previous 8-bit LOGv2, which was computationally generated.
This is an iPhone 12 Pro Max FiLMiC Pro 10-bit LOGv3 camera and SDR color workflow test using my (still in-development) LOGv3 to ARRI LogC transform LUT, and FilmConvert Nitrate (ARRI LogC camera input profile).
This is not a tutorial, just a demo of the results of my latest and best color workflow, using my FiLMiC LOGv3 transform LUT for FilmConvert Nitrate.
