This example explains on how to use SORTBY function in Excel. The syntax of the function contains three arguments. Where the first argument requires the data array to be defined. The second argument requires the reference array or range to sort on. The third argument requires the sorting order to be defined, if the order is required for ascending order or descending order.
The SORTBY is a new dynamic array function in Excel, first introduced in September 2018. used in cases where you have to highlight the residual number or have this referenced somewhere else. This function can work wonders in applying precision with smartness to your worksheet!

Syntax
=SORTBY(array, by_array1, [sort_order1], [by_array2, sort_order2],…)

Example
=SORTBY(B2:C27,F2:F27,-1)
