My Digital Quill | Excel Formulas and Functions #19 | TRANSPOSE Feature & Function to Invert Data in Excel | Excel tips and tricks | Excel #shorts

Transpose is both a feature and function in Excel as explained in this example. The first part of the video explains how a copied data in Excel can be transposed directly through by right clicking the mouse and pasting the data as inverted or 'transposed'. This approach is more static in nature as any changes performed in the original data will not be reflected in the pasted data. However, Excel also offers Transpose as a function (or formula) which requires the user to define the data as array in the function and it will transpose the data. This in contrast is a more dynamic approach as any changes made in the reference table will be reflected in the table generated by the function.
You can use this function in areas where you would want to present a flip side to your data along with the original structure. The function can especially help if you're crafting a chart out of your data table.
