Our First Home Birth | Raw Real and Roaring Her Out
When I had planned for this home birth, I had done all the research. I had read the books downloaded the playlists, listened to the podcasts, watched all the YouTube videos, and prepped my home to have a peaceful and calm delivery. Little did I know , that this fourth baby would come faster than I ever imagined, in 3.5 hours.
My body just completely took over.
It was like a freight train and nothing was going to slow it down or help me through it. I was going to roar this baby out!!
During the labor, I started to try to listen to my Christian Hypnobirthing playlist and I put the headphones in and immediately hated it and ripped them out. I also had a bunch of birth affirmations printed up on the wall to focus on and by the time I got in the water I was so far in to transition and about to push that none of them even registered to me.
All of that to say that sometimes, birth goes a lot differently than you think it will. But I got my big sweet girl in my arms and I freaking did it!
