Hey! Welcome to HOWZA channel! In today's lesson, we will teach you how to reset firewall to default settings in Windows 11.
When you reset the firewall settings, it will remove all additional Microsoft Defender firewall settings that have been added for all network locations since Windows was installed. Doing this will also stop applications that might have been added legitimately to access the firewall.
You’ll have to reconfigure apps that need access through the firewall to get it working again.
The new Windows 11, when released generally to everyone, will come with many new features and enhancements that will work great for some while adding some learning challenges for others. Some things and settings have changed so much that folks will have to learn new ways to work with and manage Windows 11.
Click on the windows icon on your taskbar. Choose Settings from the list.
Select Network and Internet from the left side list. Click on Advanced network settings. Look for Windows Firewall. Click on it.
A new window will open. Click on Restore settings. Click on Yes in the pop-up window. The firewall will be enabled.
We will show you another way. Go to taskbar search. Type control panel. Click on it to open. Click on Windows Defender Firewall. Select Restore defaults from the left side list. Click on Restore defaults. Click on Yes in the pop-up window.
