He actually walked away from a spectacular professional career when he was converted to Christianity in 1949. Of course, we Christian soldiers don't fight our battles with conventional weapons of war (as some wrongly teach), but our battle is a spiritual one using the truth of Holy Scriptures, good deeds & a clean life.
