Ingredients for making pickled apples for the winter:
3 kg of hard apples
carnations
allspice peas
1 teaspoon dry citric acid
For marinade:
water 2 liter
800 grams of sugar
cinnamon 1 stick
300 ml 6% apple cider vinegar or 200 ml 9% vinegar
How to cook pickled apples:
To prepare pickled apples for the winter, you should take strong apples. Take not large apples. You can pickle very small apples whole, and those. which is larger - should be cut into quarters or halves. The main thing is that the apples are juicy, and not loose like potatoes.

2. Remove the core from the apples and cut into several pieces, depending on the size of the apples.
3. We send the chopped apples to the sour water prepared in advance. This is done so that the apples do not darken. Prepare acidified water at the rate of about 1 teaspoon of dry citric acid per 2 liters of water.
4. Drain the sour water from the apples. You won't need this water bottle anymore. We put 3 buds of cloves and 2 peas of allspice in each jar.
5. Distribute fairly tightly chopped apples over all jars.
6. Pour prepared jars of apples with boiling water. This should be done carefully so that the banks do not burst.
7. Cover the jars with pre-sterilized lids and mark for exactly 5 minutes.
8. After 5 minutes, drain the slightly cooled water into a saucepan. From this water we will prepare a marinade for apples based on 2 liters of water. If there is not 2 liters of water in the pan, add it.
9. Place a pot of water on the stove. Add to it for 2 liters of water one teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 800 grams of sugar and pour 300 ml of 6% apple cider vinegar. 300 ml of 6% apple cider vinegar, if desired, can be replaced with 200 ml of 9% table vinegar.
10. Mix everything well and bring the marinade to a boil.
11. As soon as the marinade boils, fill the jars with apples with boiling marinade, roll them up with lids, turn them upside down and wrap them well until they cool completely.
Pickled apples will be ready in just a week.
You can store such a blank both in the cellar or basement, and at normal room temperature. But still it is desirable to store in a dark place.
