Homemade kvass best quenches thirst in the heat. Kvass is very tasty.
I offer you my recipe for how to cook homemade kvass in 4 hours.

Nutritional value of homemade chicory kvass (per 100 grams): Calorie content 25 Kcal Proteins 0 g Fats 0 g Carbohydrates 6 g

To make homemade kvass, we need the following ingredients:

1. 5 tablespoons of sugar.
2. 2 tablespoons of chicory.
3. 0.5 teaspoons dry yeast.
4. 0.5 teaspoons of citric acid

All ingredients are taken for a 1.5 liter bottle. You can adjust the amount of ingredients according to your taste.

How to make homemade kvass:

Any soluble chicory without additives is suitable for making homemade kvass, the amount of sugar can be changed at your discretion.

1. In a liter jar, stir all this with warm water and let stand for 30 minutes in a warm place.

2. Add a heaping tablespoon of citric acid

3. Pour into a 5 liter container and let stand for another 4 hours in a warm place.

4. Pour into containers and refrigerate. Kvass is ready.
