STRETCHER OF THE WIDE FACTION OF THE HIP: FUNCTIONS
The wide fascia tensioner is involved in the flexion, abduction and internal rotation of the hip in the hip joint.
This muscle is active when walking in the installation phase of the foot, exercising control over the movements.
A straining of the wide fascia helps the middle and small gluteus muscles to stabilize the pelvis.
Bilateral muscle contraction helps the front pelvic tilt, one-sided pelvic tilt in the direction of the active muscle.
Rear fibers outside are involved in the stabilization of the knee joint, as well as in its extension.
