We started out our day in Naga, Cebu, Philippines. I was hiking with my father-in-law Aquilino a.k.a. Boy. We went to the Barangay Bairan to start our hike. We did a loop hike, which took at least a couple of hours. The tropical views here were out of this world, as if we were in Jurassic Park. Palm trees were every where. We continued our hike up the hill. We spoke to the locals every chance we could. They helped us stay on course. When there were no locals, we took in the stunning mountain views. As we headed down the mountain, some of the houses had animals that we enjoyed checking them out. My favorites have always been the goats. We finally could see the ocean again, so we knew we were almost done.
We headed back home in San Fernando. We picked up fireworks and rested before the new year. Before midnight, it was time to ignite those fireworks. And so we did. So did everyone in the neighborhood. We didn’t have a big party. It was just family this year and not even all of us. However, we sure did have a lot of fun. Isn’t that what the Philippines is all about?
