If you live in Arizona, you might worry if scorpion stings are deadly. Medical toxicologist Anne-Michelle Ruha, MD, explains who is most at risk, what symptoms can occur from scorpion envenomation and what to do if you are stung by scorpion.  

Dr. Ruha is a professor of internal medicine and emergency medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. Her expertise is treating people with bad side effects caused by medications or drug overdoses, as well as snake bites and scorpion stings.
