Research led by John Streicher, PhD, revealed that cannabis terpenes may provide pain-relieving properties without the mood- and behavior-altering effects of THC, the psychoactive component of cannabis.

Streicher is a professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and a member of the University of Arizona Health Sciences Comprehensive Center for Pain & Addiction. His research interest is understanding the link between drugs and the effects they have in the human body.
