Let's start with the events. As usual, Version 4.8 will introduce four events: three small ones and one big event. If you've been playing the game for a while, you already know that the point 8 versions always bring back the summer event. Like previous summer events, Version 4.8 is expected to feature a limited-time event map. Leaks from reliable sources, such as Seele, suggest that this year's map will be inspired by a fairy-tale forest theme, departing from the traditional island setting.According to the rumors, the map will consist of three massive regions to explore and will feature an abundance of origami elements. This new limited map is said to be the largest ever introduced. You know what that means? tons of primogems. So, Version 4.8 will be very generous with primogems. Additionally, there will be a Wanderer plot in this event. This likely means that something significant will happen to the Wanderer in Version 4.8.
Moving on to the skins. Version 4.8 will introduce two new skins: one for Nilou and one for Kirara. Starting with Nilou's skin, leakers suggest that her outfit may resemble a princess's dress, potentially retaining her signature white color scheme and distinctive horns. If the leaks are accurate, players can expect to purchase Nilou's skin for the standard 1680 Genesis Crystals, approximately 30 dollars. As for Kirara, Travelers may receive a free Kirara outfit as part of the 4.8 update's main event rewards. HoYoverse typically provides a free 4-star character skin every four updates, making Kirara a likely candidate for this cycle. Additionally, we will also receive Kirara herself from the event. For Kirara's new outfit design, a no-texture version of her outfit was shared. It looks like Kirara is wearing something that resembles a cowboy hat with a cat sticker on it. Her outfit covers only up to her upper thighs, leaving her legs fully visible. It also looks like she is wearing some type of mask, and, of course, her tails are visible. I'm glad we're getting her skin for free.
Now moving on to the banners. The banner information has not been explicitly confirmed by any leakers, so it leaves us speculating on our own. If you're a long-time viewer of my channel, you already know how many times I speculated the banners correctly. We will consider using rumors and unreliable information to guide our predictions. We know that one character is currently confirmed to get a banner in version 4.8, and that character is none other than Emilie herself. With three spots remaining, it's easy to speculate the rest. First, we know that Shenhe did not receive a banner throughout the entire Fontaine patches. The last time she received a banner was back in the Sumeru update. So, she will most definitely receive a banner in version 4.8. The same logic applies to Nilou, especially since her skin is getting released in this version. This significantly increases her possibility of appearing in the character banners of version 4.8. For the last character, as you know, when Mihoyo releases Shenhe, there is a high chance another Cryo DPS unit is also getting a rerun. Since there is one Cryo character who has a chance of appearing, that character is none other than Wriothesley himself. He will most definitely receive a banner in version 4.8. There are some characters who haven't received banners in a while, but most of these characters had more than three event wish banners, and they are all from different regions. I don't know how Mihoyo plans on handling that, honestly, so let's see how they do it.
Moving on to the chronicled wish banner. Version 4.8 will most likely introduce another chronicled wish banner, and this time, it will most likely be Liyue's chronicled banner. A lot of Liyue characters are missing from recent banners, for example, Ganyu, Childe, and Hu Tao. There were rumors before stating that chronicled wish banners are only for dry patches. I don't know where they got that from since the chronicled wish banner was only released once before. But let's consider that rumor. version 4.5 was the release of the first chronicled wish banner, and yes, version 4.5 was indeed a dry patch. However, if these rumors are true, I don't think we will be getting a chronicled wish banner in version 4.8. Version 4.8 is not a dry patch; we're getting a lot of new content.
