Johnnie Walker is best selling scotch brand on the planet and Johnnie Walker Red Label is the best selling scotch. It's cheap, it's basic, it hasn't got the best reviews but we'd be idiots to ignore it.
Reportedly containing over 35 different whiskies including malts and grains from Cardhu, Aberfeldy, Cragganmore, Linkwood, Glen Elgin, Talisker and many more. It's also one of the longest running bottlings, initially releasing in 1909.
For me, the nose is a little chemically, with some apples and peat. The pallette isn't much better but there is certainly flavours to pick out.

Overall, this is clearly a mixing whisky and not at all designed to sipped and assessed
