Why Steve jobs banned his children iPhones

When Steve jobs was still alive and was led by Apple, then banned their children too long to work for iPad. Why?
Journalist the New York Times ' Nick Bilton during one of his interviews with Steve jobs asked him the question: do his children the iPad.
"They don't use it. We limit the time children spend at home on new technologies," he said.
The journalist met the answer to his question stunned silence. He somehow thought that the house of jobs is full of touch screens and iPads he distributes to guests instead of sweets. But it was not even close.
In General, most technology executives and venture capitalists from Silicon Valley to limit their kids time they spend in front of screens - whether it be computers, smartphones, or tablets. In the family of Steve jobs there was even a ban on the use of gadgets at night and on weekends.
Likewise, the other "gurus" from the world of technology.
It is a bit strange. In the end, most parents have a different approach, allowing their children to do the Internet days and nights. But, it seems, CEOs of IT giants know something that others do not know the townsfolk.
Chris Anderson, former editor of Wired and now chief Executive of 3D Robotics, has imposed restrictions on the use of gadgets to members of their families. He even set up devices so that each of them could be activated not more than a couple hours a day.
"My kids accuse me and my wife that we are fascists who are too preoccupied with technology. They say none of their friends has no such restrictions in my family," he says.
In Anderson five children from 5 to 17 years, and the restrictions relating to each of them."This is because I see the danger of the overuse of Internet like no other. I saw what problems I faced myself, and I don't want these same problems had my children," he explains.
The "dangers" of the Internet, Anderson and stand by them parents mean harmful content (pornography, scenes of bullying other children), and the fact that if children are too often use the gadgets, you soon become dependent on them.
Some go even further.
Alex Constantinople, CEO of the OutCast Agency, said that her younger five year old son does not use gadgets during the working week. Her other two children who are 10 to 13 years old can use a tablet or PC in the house no longer than 30 minutes a day.
Evan Williams, founder of Blogger and Twitter, said that their two sons also have similar restrictions. In their house - hundreds of paper books, and each child can read as many as you want. But with tablets and smartphones increasingly difficult - they can use them no longer than an hour a day.
Studies show that children under ten years old are particularly receptive to new technologies and addicted to them like drugs.
So Steve jobs was right: researchers say that children should not be allowed to use tablets for longer than 30 minutes a day, and smartphones - more than two hours a day. For 10-14 year-olds are allowed to use computers, but only for school assignments.
Strictly speaking, the fashion for IT-the bans comes into American homes more and more often. Some parents forbid children to use social networking for Teens (e.g., Snapchat). This allows them not to worry about what their children post on the Internet: because thoughtless posts left in childhood, can harm their authors in adult life.
Scientists say that the age at which you can remove restrictions on the use of technology - 14 years.

Although Anderson even his 16-year-old children prohibits the use of "screens" in the bedroom. Any, including the TV screen. Dick Costolo, CEO of Twitter, allow their kids to use the gadgets in the living room alone. In the bedroom they bring are not eligible.
What can you do with your children? Well, Steve jobs, for example, had a habit to eat together with the children and always talked about books, history, progress, even in politics. But none of them have the right during a conversation with my dad to get the iPhone.
As a result, his children grew up independent from the Internet.
