SPD seeks boy with hatchet, up to 14 other suspected juveniles wanted for Seattle robbery
New details are emerging in an armed robbery in Seattle’s Green Lake neighborhood that involved a boy with a hatchet who is believed to be as young as 7 years old. Police said they are still searching for the youth, along with more than a dozen accomplices.
One factor complicating the investigation is that under state law, "children under the age of 8 years are incapable of committing crime." In a situation where prosecutors get a referral for a 7-year-old, Child Protective Services would be notified.
