INGREDIENTS for 23cm pie dish:
150g sugar
125g butter
2 eggs
160g flour
6g baking powder
pinch of salt
6-8 plums (depending on size)
juice of 1/2 lemon
15g brown sugar
2g cinnamon

Heat oven to 355℉ / 180℃
Cream softened butter with sugar. Add eggsand beat well. Sift in all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt and mix well until just combined.
Spoon the batter into a pie dish 9 inches. Place the plum halves skin side up on top of the batter. Sprinkle lightly lemon juice, brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
Bake 45-50 minutes.
