To turn off the power button light on your Xbox Series X, you can follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Navigate to the Profile & system tab.
Select Settings.
Choose Devices & connections.
Select Xbox Accessories.
Choose your controller from the list of connected devices.
Toggle the Xbox button light switch to the Off position.

To turn off the power button light go to settings, general, TV and Display, go to night mode and then you can change the brightness for the power button and you can turn it off or dim it!
