Sister Sledge - Lost In Music (Cold Duck extended mix)
With Chic and Luther Vandross (among others) backing them up, I think Sister Sledge's "Lost In Music" is among those truly great disco classics. I didn't really intend to make such a long mix, but there was so much excellent material to work with (particularly Kathy Sledge's vocals), I just couldn't stop myself.
This mix uses the multitracks from the 1984 'Special Remix' by Nile Rodgers which featured Simon Le Bon and Andy Taylor of Duran Duran on backing vocals. That version also made extensive use of some classic '80s vocal effects, most likely provided by mixing engineer Jason Corsaro, which I had some fun with as well.
