In this video our senior ectotherm keeper Julie details freshwater crocodiles Malu and Sumpit’s arrival from Krokodille Zoo in Denmark. Ahead of their arrival, Julie spent time in Denmark with the expert team there, where she was able to learn more about the species and how they are cared for.

Shy and secretive, Sunda gharial crocodiles are one of the world’s largest crocodilian species (able to reach up to 5-6 metres in length) and are renowned for their slender, distinctive snouts.

Come and immerse yourself in the heat, sounds and smells of our climate controlled tropical dome. At different times of the day you’ll experience the mist and rain, while admiring the 13 different fish species (including Asian arowana) and thousands of plants that are thriving in this beautiful humid environment. It's an experience not to be missed!
