Photographing an ICONIC moment (Jet flyby tutorial with settings, editing)
I attempt to capture an iconic moment during the Red Arrows flyby for the Scottish coronation of King Charles III in Edinburgh. In this tutorial, I explain my thought process on the image I wanted to achieve, along with my strategy and settings for taking it, from shutter speed, auto focus and more.
Finally, I show how I edit my shot in Adobe Lightroom, including adjusting the exposure, the colours and using multiple masks for selective edits.
I'm pleased with the shot and the story it tells of the moment.
That said, this video is no political statement either way on the value of the monarchy in Britain. This is about taking a photograph and I hope you enjoy my insights as both a photographer and a journalist.
