In today's macro photography tutorial I show how I use a simple trick with my flash to create interesting lighting results. By using the light off camera I am able to backlight leaves, creating great textures and patterns. I explain how I use my flash, along with the best settings I use for macro flash photography.

I really enjoyed taking these images. They're not award-worthy shots, but they gave me a nice creative boost when I didn't think I was going to get the sort of images I had originally planned to get. I definitely think it's worth experimenting with!
