Wareta Ringo 「 Shinsekai Yori 」 | English Metal Cover
A first time for everything! I so happy to finally get this cover out to the world. I've considered doing covers of anime openings and endings ever since I was in middle school and, nearly a decade later, after learning all the skill I needed, here we are! Shinsekai Yori is one of my favorite anime and the ending is an absolute BANGER. Even people who didn't really like the anime agree that the ending is hella catchy. I've been on a bit of a Sleep Token kick recently so I figured I'd try giving this song a metal cover instead of a boring, normal cover. I hope you enjoy it and I'm sorry if it's a bit scuffed, I have not been mixing for very long and I sure as hell know my videography could use some work. Nonetheless, I really do hope you enjoy the cover, that you'll share it around, and that you'll stick around for the long run!
Shinsekai yori, or from the new world in English, is a bit of a weird anime. It's like if a fever dream became sentient and chose to start listening to classical music and reading works of philosophy. I remember watching the anime back on Crunchyroll (*not sponsored* lol) when it was first added and just being absolutely mind rocked. It had a similar sense of darkness and dread that the promised neverland had but with a much heavier take on philosophy and ethics, a 10/10 would recommend. The manga on the other hand, I'd just skip. It replaces a lot of the themes of philosophy and ethics with just boring fan-service. Not that fan-service is bad but in the world of shinsekai yori, it just kinda sticks out and not in a good way (*pause*). If I were you, I'd just read the novel the anime and manga are based on.
