How To Change The Language On Netflix
In this quick tech how-to video, I’m going to show you how to change the default language settings on Netflix. I’ll show you both how to change the menu and title language, and also how to enable audio settings in order to allow different languages when available. Also, a good thing to know here, is once you set the language settings on the desktop site, it will take effect across all of your devices. So, you don’t have to do this on each device you have.
To get started, head to any web browser and go to Netflix.com.
Make sure you’re logged into your account and then select the drop-down menu on the top right.
In here select Account.
Scroll down to the bottom and expand your account profile. Next, choose Language in this drop-down.
The top section is for Display Language. This will change the language on any menu, title, or description throughout Netflix. Choose the language you’d like to change to.
The bottom section is for Shows and Movies Languages. This will help Netflix setup the available languages for audio and subtitles. Choose the same language as above or choose as many languages as you’d like to make available.
When you’re done, scroll to the bottom and choose Save. Netflix will then save and make your language changes.
Now when you head back to the main menu, you will see that the language of everything has been switched to what you’ve chosen. If you go into a show or movie and start to play, and the language is not the new one that you’ve chosen, select the audio option on the bottom and change it in there. Do note though, that if the movie or show that you’ve chosen doesn’t have your language available, you will only be able to watch it in the default language, but you can change the subtitles.
And that’s how you change the default language for movies, shows, and menus on Netflix.
