Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, commonly known as Saigon is the largest city of the country. Saigon was the former capital of the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam). Today Saigon has a population of around 9 million (2019).
We start our walk of HCMC in the District 1 where most tourists stay during their visit. The Bui Vien walking street is open for motor vehicles during the day. Our tour gets to the city center, passing the War Remnants Museum and later even get to the the Independence Palace. We see the modern city center as rain starts. After 2 hours we return to our starting place having seen much of Saigon on this afternoon to evening tour.
