Kassel is a city in central Germany, located in the state of Hesse. With a population of about 200,000 people, Kassel is known for the documenta, an internationally renowned contemporary art exhibition held every five years.
There is also the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring the Hercules monument and expansive baroque gardens. The Brothers Grimm lived in Kassel, where they worked on their famous fairy tales. The Fulda River flows through the city.
On this tour we see much of the city center with shopping streets and even a market. We end our tour at the train station.
