Kayapós: preparing to fight wasps | SLICE
The Kayapos live deep into the Amazonian forest. One of their villages is Pukanu, satiated on the Iriri River in the State of Para in northern Brazil. The Kayapos are feared warriors, and to become that strong, they fight against a powerful enemy: the Amyu, the most aggressive wasps in the forest. While the men are preparing to fight the wasps, the women support them with an impressive traditional ceremony.
