The new Albula tunnel has opened on the line between Chur and St. Moritz and in this video from Paolo, we're going to pass through it.

The original tunnel, completed in 1903, was in need of refurbishment and a number of options were explored on how to proceed. The best option was found to be building a new tunnel next to the old one, before refurbishing the old one for use as an emergency exit tunnel. This variant avoided interruptions in rail traffic on the line, whilst improving safety and allowing a higher top speed in the new tunnel.
