According to the memories of Irina Komarova's daughter, his father wanted to fly into space so much that for a month and a half he did not drink milk from the refrigerator, as usual, so as not to accidentally get sick, because otherwise then the whole mission would fail and could have disappointed the entire Soviet Union, his nerves were on edge, but right before the flight, Vladimir Komarov gathered himself, arranged his things, answered all the letters, showed his wife where he left the keys to the garage and left. Then Yuri Gagarin himself spoke in favor of delaying the flight, as he understood that the Soyuz 1 apparatus was not ready to go into orbit with his friend inside, but with less than a month left until the launch, Komarov understood that under no circumstances should there have been a delay, although one of his friends in the KGB was even advised to give up, according to James Doran's book The Astronaut, Komarov replied, "If I don't take off, they they will send the reserve" and Yuri Gagarin was exactly the reserve cosmonaut, Vladimir Komarov could not do this, he promised himself that he would take off alone.
