The Indians of this tribe living near the Moses River in Brazil can be called the happiest people on Earth. They do not mourn the past, they do not think about the future. For them, only today exists. They do not stock up, almost never sleep, do not believe in anything and call themselves proper people. The world learned about this amazing tribe in the 1970s from Daniel Everest, a former missionary who lived among the ashes for 30 years.
Let's learn a little more about this amazing tribe. Their attitude to sleep is perhaps a whole philosophy. They believe that sleep is not a good thing at all. First, sleep deprives a person of strength. Secondly, in a dream a person dies a little and wakes up completely different, i.e. lose yourself And it is not a fact that this other person will like you. But these are not all the causes of forced insomnia. When going to bed, we are used to wishing each other good night. But in pirate language, such a wish sounds like this: "Don't sleep, there are snakes everywhere" And indeed, there are snakes in abundance.
That is why this tribe does not sleep at night, but naps for half an hour. Where fatigue has boiled them. For aging or senescence of bodies, Indians also blame sleep. For example, someone who until recently appeared smaller in stature, drank milk from a woman's breast, could not hunt or have sex, fell asleep and suddenly disappeared. And his place was taken by another old man. And the new man must be given a new name. That is why approximately once every seven years the people of the tribe change their name. It must be different for each age, because the Indians have no steady night's sleep to separate the new day from the previous one.
