IOT Raspberry pi based Weather monitoring Station

Description
This Raspberry Pi-based weather monitoring system collects data from a DHT-11 sensor (temperature and humidity), a rain sensor, a moisture sensor, and a light sensor. It displays all this information in real-time on a 20x4 LCD screen. Additionally, a fire sensor monitors for fire or smoke and sends an alert message to the user if a fire is detected, ensuring both comprehensive environmental monitoring and timely fire notifications.
Objectives

1. To measure and display temperature, humidity, rain, soil moisture, and light intensity using appropriate sensors.
2. To show real-time sensor readings on a 20x4 LCD screen for comprehensive environmental insights.
3. To continuously collect and process sensor data to provide up-to-date environmental information and alerts.

Methodology
This project is a Raspberry Pi-based weather monitoring system that operates by having multiple sensors. Upon powering up with a battery is charged by a solar panel the Raspberry Pi initializes and runs its programmed code written in python. It interfaces with several sensors: the DHT-11 measures temperature and humidity, while the rain sensor detects precipitation, the moisture sensor assesses soil wetness, and the light sensor gauges ambient light levels. All these sensor readings are simultaneously collected and displayed on a 20x4 LCD screen, providing a view of the current environmental conditions. Simultaneously, the system monitors a fire sensor for signs of fire or smoke. If the fire sensor detects a potential fire, the Raspberry Pi triggers an alert mechanism, sending a notification message to the user through an appropriate communication channel, such as SMS or email. This ensures that users are promptly informed of any fire hazards while also receiving up-to-date environmental data. Many more features can also be added related to IOT.
