The ONE MOD YOU NEED to love Medieval 2 all over again in 2023
The ONE MOD TO RULE THEM ALL might not be a mod at all, but a plugin - Freecam for Medieval 2! A lot of people wanted more information on Freecam and a brief tutorial, so here it is! :)

This is a tool that modernizes the camera controls and functionalities of Medieval 2, and takes from a proper medieval camera system, to a certified post Rome 2 one. It's actually amazing what this mod and its modder, Bugis Duckis, accomplishes, as it makes playing this now old and clunky game so much more enjoyable to play! The incredible thing is that since it's a plugin, it automatically works with both vanilla AND any mod you might have for Medieval 2, meaning you'll get a fresh experience no matter what you play - and it's of course fully save game compatible.
QUICK TUTORIAL: Freecam is easy to install and use, and while the steps are on the mod page, here's a quick rundown: install the file from moddb, extract the folder to wherever you want. Boot up Medieval 2, tab out, go to your Freecam folder and run the application, tab back into Medieval, 2 and voila! Just make sure to change your Medieval 2 controls into WASD-type system, as showed in the video.
