High-throughput experimentation can be a powerful tool in chemical research, allowing a wide range of reaction conditions, substrates, and other variables to be efficiently explored and generating large datasets that could play a role in applying machine learning methods to chemical prediction. But high-throughput experimentation can sometimes be viewed as inaccessible to the academic chemist, while also presenting unique challenges in data analysis and management.
In this virtual panel, Timothy Cernak (University of Michigan), Dani Schultz (Merck), Jacob Janey (Vertex Pharmaceuticals), and Matthew Gaunt (University of Cambridge) discuss high-throughput experimentation in chemistry and the challenges and benefits of employing it in both academia and industry.
This panel is presented by Chem, iScience, and Research Arc.
