A new issue about the Kiev offensive, during which Red Army troops liberated the capital of Soviet Ukraine, the city of Kiev. Kiev was not only an important industrial center, but also a major transportation hub. As a result of the Kiev operation, Goth's 4th Panzer Army was severely defeated, almost forty thousand German soldiers were taken prisoner. Troops of the 1st Ukrainian Front repulsed the enemy by nearly 150 kilometers from the city and finally broke communications, which provided communication between the German Army Groups Center and South.
