But now let's get back to my unique journey: I haven't seen sunlight for 43 days. 119 days in the dark in total. The long polar night continues and there are still several months to go before the sun shows itself again. In this video we take stock of the situation: I'll tell you how I feel, how I'm dealing with this extreme experience and the effects it has had on my body and mind. Between difficult moments and surprising discoveries, living in the dark for so long really changes everything.
December has just begun, and with it comes the magic of Christmas here in Svalbard. I will take you to discover a beautiful legend related to Santa Claus and we will visit his "real home" together. You will discover how the local community celebrates this special period, with unique traditions that make everything even more suggestive.
There will also be room for a culinary adventure: we will try together some typical Norwegian products. Is Norwegian cuisine really the worst in Europe, as they say? We will find out by tasting some authentic specialties found at the local supermarket.
And to end on a high note, the most exciting moment of the video: I will show you one of the most spectacular Northern Lights I have ever seen. Take a moment to relax and enjoy these extraordinary images, captured right here, in the heart of the Arctic.
