In this video, I take you with me and Davide, an Italian guy who recently moved here to Norway, to discover what it means to try Italian cuisine away from Italy! 🍕🍝
We know very well that we cannot expect the same standards we are used to at home: Italian cuisine, with its wealth of authentic flavors, is an art that is difficult to replicate, especially with different local ingredients and international interpretations. But it is always interesting and fun to see how our cuisine is represented in other parts of the world, especially in a country like Norway, where culinary traditions are very different from ours.
In the video we explore dishes that claim to be "Italian" and discuss flavors, expectations and surprises. Davide, with his fresh eye of a newcomer, shares his impressions, while I reflect on how fascinating it is to see our gastronomic culture reinterpreted abroad.
This is not only a journey through flavors, but also an opportunity to tell something more about the challenges and curiosities of living away from home, where even a simple plate of pasta can become a bridge with one's roots.
